Fw: 40 line story

There was a time
When you went zooming and dashing into objects
Crashing then with a loud bang
Cries were heard but not for long
You were soon put in a cradle and were sung a song

Years down the memory lane
Of times you don't even remember of
You lived a life
A life full of cheer
A life full of colour
A life of your own
Of which memory hardly exists now
And even fewer things to remind you of

You would scream and shout
Lay flat on the floor and cry like a maniac
Until your wish list was fulfilled
But unfortunately you're an adult now

You would wear red pants
And shoes that cranked as you walked
You would walk around the world
As if you owned it
Now all you wear is shades of black, brown and grey
And fear has overpowered your confidence

What happened to your childhood dreams?
Probably forgot them in some dungeon
Or got trashed away with your toys
Dreams of conquering the world
Dreams where you went sailing through the universe
What happened to your power of imagination and dream?
Got blocked by the aviators you started wearing when you grew up

You were taught to dream when you were a child
Why don't they teach that to you anymore?
They would now tell you to believe in reality
Why don't you ask them, what is reality?
I would define it as
Everything is reality; all you need is a will

You would eat with your hands
Lick your fingers and the plate
Because you simply loved it
All you eat now is steel and steel
The food eaten with it is like pills
Meant simply to keep you alive

It's time to loosen your tie
And your shoe laces
As all you are given is a life
A single life
So enjoy it and live it to the fullest
And let your soul breathe a little
As you have more number of years left ahead
Than you have left behind
